Team Leader Christine Boisseau Moves KelownaHomes Team to eXp Realty Canada for Innovation and Growth Mindset
Horses, philanthropy, and coaching are just a few things that inspire Kelowna’s Christine Boisseau, but at her core is a business sense to learn and improve people’s lives. Perhaps that is why this accomplished team leader of the KelownaHomes Team has decided to leave Canada’s Royal LePage brokerage after 10 years, joining eXp Realty Canada in December 2023.
“The innovation and growth mindset of eXp Realty is unmatched and it gives us the opportunity to help our clients achieve their goals with cutting-edge tools and technology,” said Christine. “The eXp cloud-based model also makes it easier for us to build international networks. As a team leader, my role is to provide the best tools and opportunities for those who trust me and partner with me and eXp will allow me to do this to the best of my capacity so I can serve my team better and we can all, in turn, serve our clients better.”
Christine Is Flanked By an All-Female Team
Christine is bringing three agents and one staff member – all women – with her from an acclaimed career at Royal LePage in Kelowna and the greater Central Okanagan region where she rolled up numerous awards along the way, including Top Tier Circle, Chairman’s Club Award, Rookie of the Year, Red Diamond Award and Award of Excellence. Her team was also honored with the Top Ten Award in B.C. in 2018 and 2019.
She has been a Realtor since 2007, relocating from Quebec City where her native French language has served her well in British Columbia, too.
“When I moved here, I didn’t know anyone. But, I did a lot of networking and sat on committees, such as the Kelowna French Cultural Center. We have a lot of people from Quebec moving here – the weather is so much better. So, transacting in French is much easier for those transplants.”
Equestrian Life Provided a Helpful Client Base
Christine was a competitive equestrian as a young child and advanced her career to the Grand Prix level, competing into early adulthood. This is where her Bachelor of Commerce degree also served her well, understanding the deep-pocketed horse circuit would be the perfect client base to help jumpstart her real estate career.
But prior to relocating to Kelowna, she took a two-year break from real estate to secure an MBA at the University of Laval in Quebec. Then, it was off to the beautiful Okanagan Valley where the weather is more to her liking (“ski in the morning, golf in the afternoon”) and where she launched her KelownaHomes Team, which handles all facets of real estate – residential, commercial, farm & land and mobile homes.
Coaching Is Another Passion
Since 2014, the KelownaHomes Team has closed more than $500 million (CAD) in sales. In addition to production, Christine is also deeply committed to coaching her team and others where she currently has 80 real estate clients.
“I was a horseback riding coach in my prior life, so teaching has always been a passion of mine and I do this through leading my team but also coaching other real estate agents and team leaders.”
Christine Joining a Group of Distinguished eXp Realty Canada Leaders
She credits other powerful eXp Realty Canada leaders such as Justin Havre, Katarina Amurao, Neil Bellosillo, and Ibrahim Hussein with turning her onto eXp, but points to one in particular.
“Many have influenced my career, but the one that stands out is Justin Havre. He has been a supporter and mentor for the past nine years, and I owe much of my success as a real estate agent to his wisdom and experience.”
Christine is a philanthropist at heart and points to causes around mental health, animals, and particularly, horses. She is active in such groups as the Kelowna Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, SPCA and the Rotary Club where she was president 2020-2021.
